My First Christmas at Home

Isabella was a bit overwhelmed by Christmas! We bought her a tricycle and dolls pram, and a few toys! Her little face just lit up when she saw the bike by the Christmas tree, it was priceless.


She then sat on the bike why we helped her open her other presents. She wasn't sure about opening them and ripping the paper and kept looking at me to see if I would tell her off! She was so spoiled by everyone this year. This is a picture of her holding her Winnie the Pooh hand puppet, Eeyore, and her dolly! She just didn't want to let go of anything!







After the present opening she got dressed in a beautiful dress that J gave her for her referral gift. She looked gorgeous! Isabella loved sitting at the big dinning table with us for lunch!



And then she got to do it all over again on boxing day when Terry's father, step mother and two half brothers came for the day. She had a lovely time being spoiled and playing with her new toys and running around the house with the two boys!

Ma Ma has another cold which I got from my beautiful niece T, who came down just before Christmas! I managed to cook dinner on Christmas day, and luckily hubby then always cooks on boxing day so I had a rest!

So we haven't done any running, but in the new year its time to really start training hard. But I am not too worried we have taken a couple of weeks off as we have already run up to 15 miles and so why we will train up to 22 miles most running schedules only make you train up to 20. But there is a lot of hard work ahead! But its all for a worthy cause.

Isabella is also sleeping in her own bed! We gave up on the cot as she got too distressed whenever I put her back into it, it probably reminder her of the orphanage too much. So have gradually been preparing her to sleep by herself. Therefore once the bedroom was decorated and we got rid of the big double wardrobe I moved her bed into our room. She has coped really well, sometimes she needs a cuddle to go to sleep, but most of the time she is fine and happily says bye bye when she is kissed goodnight!. She comes into our bed when she wakes up between 6.30-7.30! I am so proud of my little girl. Once she is happy to sleeping by herself we will move her into her own room. But there is no big rush, we will just do it when she is ready.
