We had a fantastic few days away in France enjoying the beautiful European hot weather spell that we had.
We travelled to Euro Disney on the Tuesday arriving mid day. Isabella is such a good traveller the train journey for her was a breeze and she was so well behaved. I had stocked up on crayons, colouring books and stickers in anticipation!
For the first two nights we stayed in the Euro Disney resort. Isabella had her own bed in our room and loved it! She hasn't slept in our room since Christmas so it was a treat!
She loved Disney, she wasn't familiar with most of the characters as to be honest she doesn't watch hardly any TV. She does watch the jungle book video and so loved seeing the jungle book characters on the parade! She soon learnt the names of a few famous mice! But we didn't bother to line up to get her picture taken. She was happy just to observe and wave from a distance! She loved the rides, and we took her on all of the toddler ones! On the last night we stayed outside of the resort and the next day travelled back to the Disney station to get our train to Lille. We loved Lille, we have been to Paris numerous times so it was nice to see some other French cities. And it is beautiful. We had a terrible last night at our hotel our room got flooded out! Yep water pouring ( literally like rain) through the air conditioner. It took 15 minutes of non answered calls to reception before hubby went downstairs ( he was outside smoking!) and he simply just gave us a key for a new room! It was then 5.30 AM and we had to pick Isabella up and all move to another room. Yes we did complain! But it was our last night and didn't ruin our holiday, but we did arrive home shattered!
Since we have been home we have been busy! Our 12 month report has been translated and posted to our UK government department. And we have been so busy with DIY! We had the estate agents come last Friday to value the house. And we just need to get organised for our home owners pack. I will give them a call tomorrow! I was still up at 02.30 the night before finishing decorating the dining room! But we only have to do the outside top windows and a few minor inside jobs like skirting board painting left! The garden is immaculate! And the house was spotless when he visited and de-cluttered! Although the loft was packed full of bags and so was the hallway cupboard. I was just to tired in the end to put things away properly!
Isabella has completed her last two inductions at the nursery. Last Tuesday she attended from 08.30-12.30 and on Thursday from 08.30-14.30! It gave me time to do lots of DIY! She was a little tearful on Thursday as she hadn't had her afternoon nap there before. And was quite clingy on Friday, but she is doing so well, and this week is doing two full days. I am so proud of my little girl. She is incredible. I also think it helps that her best friend Emily ( Eminy!) goes on Tuesdays. I take them both and they run up the road together holding hands. It is just so cute!
