I took her to a photo booth and we got some pictures taken for her British citizenship application but some of my arm was showing, we managed to trim most of this out but knew that the passport office are really fussy and would not accept the same photograph. Our other attempts in a photo booth have been even worse so we abandoned that idea!
Simple, yes go to a place where they take instant passport pictures? The result three trips and a hysterical Isabella and no pictures!
I then tried to take a picture at home, which resulted in pictures like this!
She is quite happy to have her picture taken any other time but as soon as you attempt to get a head and shoulder shot with a white background it results in tears!
However, I am not a defeatist! And kept persevering and finally yesterday got this picture!
So we took this to the photograph shop where they turned it into passport pictures for us. Today we took the passport application and supporting documents to the post office checking service and they accepted the picture. Fingers crossed, that its fine and we will hopefully get her British passport in two weeks. It would make our trip to Bangkok and Vietnam in February so much easier if we all travelled on British passports.

Oh no poor Isabella :-( I'm glad you finally got a usable photo, and really sorry it took such trauma to get it!
Big hugs to you all

I hope she grows out of it or I will dread the school pictures :)
