On the mend!

We are getting better, but my cold still hasn't gone. I normally get a flu jab every year at work which pretty much keeps me cold free for the winter. But missed it this year as I have been off since August and wont be returning to work until May! Isabella's new word for the week is 'no' or 'na'! And everything is 'no'! When she is being stubborn she says it shaking head, and also says no in Chinese just in case you haven't understood her. When she is playing around she says it and laughs!

Here are a couple of pictures of Ms Wong, she is so longing to grow up and be independent! Here she is trying to get dressed herself ( after Ma Ma had dressed her!) and putting on my boots and stomping around the kitchen. Its even funnier when she puts my long boots on! I must take a picture of her.

And just to show her new teeth and gorgeous smile!

For those of you who think about Isabella when we go running, she loves being outside and we just wrap her up in layers and as it was so cold this weekend and forcasted for snow we put her in her snow suit. I think she looks cute, but later in the day hubby to her to the park and another parent said she looked like a marshmallow!

I have finally started to decorate our bedroom and have painted the ceiling, wallpapered one wall, and now just need to finish painting the remaining walls. I hope to finish it this weekend so I can tackle the kitchen! And have the house looking nice for Christmas! Now if only our builder would turn up ( end of October he was suppose to start) to build the wardrobes in the chimney breast alcove in our bedroom and Isabella's room and to box in the new boiler in a cabinet.

And finally I made the Christmas cake. I normally make it at the beginning of November but there is still time to feed it some more brandy and to decorate it.

Marathon training

We had a week of resting due to Isabella and I being unwell. Running whilst throwing up was not really a good idea! But hubby, Isabella in the baby jogger and I did do a small run on Saturday just to keep fit. We will still take it easy next week and then start training properly again. That's why we started running so early in preparation as you never know when you will become unwell or pull a muscle.

Running total 10 kms

Hi Suzanne,
Glad to hear that you and Isabella are on the mend now, and hope you manage to shake off your cold soon. The picturs of Isabella dressing herself and in your boots are so funny :-) And I love the picture of the proud Daddy with his gorgeous marshmallow daughter :-)
Lots of love
Janet
