Over the Easter weekend, our beautiful spring weather disappeared and was replaced by rain, hail storms and snow! It was strange. Now we are all back to work, its sunny again but remains cold!
So we just spend the whole long weekend doing DIY, and spring cleaning. The carpets and sofa were washed, we hired a machine for the day. The amount of black water from the dust and soot that came off everything was incredible! All the bedroom walls were washed and all the curtains and bedding stripped and washed. Hubby made two trips to the dump and our recycle bin is overflowing from where I sorted out the study, and dumped the mountain of papers that I used to edit my book. I even broke the paper shredder from overuse ( pretty cheap and old anyway) so have ordered a new one to finish my filing!
Its not completely done, still some little DIY tasks, and a couple more rooms to sort out, but it finally feels like a home again. Now to tackle the mountain of ironing from all the washing done! But at least we feel ready for baby Wong now, lets hope the CCAA feel the same and don't skip us for another month. I think if we got our referral last month, we would of been really pushed to get the house sorted and ready. We would of done it, but it would off been tough! I guess the rumours will be circulating again in the next couple of days so its just a matter of waiting to see what happens, but referrals will probably arrive next week?
My gifts arrived today from the spring swap that I took part in. Thanks Laura, I will take a picture later and post under the yahoo swaps.
I also sorted out the squares for the 100 GW quilt. Which I am going to start sewing next week!
