Today we met with the head of adoption services for our LA, and have now sent our acceptance letter back to our UK government body. I have sent this by recorded overnight delivery and we have asked to use a courier service to forward this to the CCAA. So fingers crossed it will be heading back to China soon.
We had an up to date medical report today, with details taken yesterday! She is now 76 cm tall and weights 9.5 kgs. She has 4 teeth and says ma ma, and finds her toys. She likes cars ( I was a tomboy!), phones and other toys that make a sound ( we need to buy a toy telephone for her in China!).
She is having 4 bottles a day and eating meat congee, steamed meat buns ( char-sui) and noodles. Her favourite drink in Wa Ha Ha (brand) so we will need to get my FIL to write the Chinese characters for this so we can find it in the shops in Guangxi. The new daddy is very pleased that she loves meat congee and char-sui, so I see an increase in our dim sum trips! Mm I also need to really start to learn how to make congee as well and plan to spend some time with my MIL!
The report says she is beginning to walk alone and loves to eat when walking (the kitties will love this and will be like little vacum cleaners behind her!). And if she dislikes something she throws it and cries loudly! So we do need to put the child gates up before we leave for China and put everything out of reach!
We haven't found a Yahoo orphanage group and today found out ( I also suspected) that this is a new orphanage for ICA. They have only done three to date. I think this is why we had such a detailed report from the orphanage which gave us so much details of her finding and monthly progress reports from the age of 0-7 months. We have learnt however that Baise orphanage is now going into a foster programme and we have agreed to be one of the first to sponsor a child. This will enable us to find out more about the orphanage, keep close contact with the orphanage and to provide more opportunities to other children.
I cant beleive its a week since our referral. But we have learnt a lot about her, and hopefully the acceptance will be in China soon and we get a quick ITT/TA.
We have decided to use BLAS travel services/translators because we have been so impressed with the service they have provided and feel that we can trust them. So we hope to start thinking about travel arrangements soon.
Also thanks to everyone for all the good wishes and fantastic support you have given us.
After seeing Valeries new blog, I decided to get someone to 'bling my blog' and have contacted the person who did Valeries. I was just waiting for our referral so that we could have Isabella picture on it. Hopefully you will see a 'blinged blog' soon!

Fantastic that you have got such a detailed report - and that your acceptance letter is winging its way back so rapidly. Here's to a very rapid ITT. It might be worth trying to join the province yahoo group - and also finding via it if anyone else has got a referral this time round from the same SWI and then launching a SWI yahoo group. It is so good to try and maintain that link somehow- our daughter is the only child from her SWI in the UK and there are very few scattered across the globe, the SWI group is fairly quiet but we have managed to exchange so much information - heresay, photos and re-visit info. Enjoy the next few frantic weeks. Vicky
