Hong Kong Typhoon!!

Yesterday was our last day in Guangzhou. We walked through the pet market to Shaiman Island. I found all the pets for sale so heartbreaking, it was incredibly hot and they were all so stressed and some obviously dying. The kittens were far to young to be separated from their mothers and all in crowded cages. Ms Wong though was fascinated.



We walked around Shiaman and to the famous White Swan, to try to catch up with BB. Sadly she wasn't there so I presume she was at the hospital visiting M and E. We had a lovely starbucks before heading back to central GZ for Dim Sum. The picture is of three generations of Wongs!



Today we all left for Hong Kong, Isabella has coped with leaving China coming to another country and another hotel change so incredibly well. She is such a strong, amazing child. Sometimes its difficult to remember that we have only been a family for 9 days, its feels like we have always been together.

But its a very different Hong Kong from the one we left. Its Typhoon time. Its rainy, windy and everything is shut and shuttered up! Luckily we took the train from Guangzhou to Hong Kong as we found out 122 flights have been cancelled today! Hopefully by Saturday the flights will be back to normal! Our plans to take Isabella to the beach and ocean park or Disney world may not be feasible!

Tomorrow is a day of seeing relatives! and later more relatives! Whilst its nice to be back in Hong Kong and to introduce Ms Wong to the Hong Kong Wong clan, it will be nice to finally take her home. Although we are not looking forward to the jet lag!
