Were Home!

Saturday 9th was our last day in Hong Kong, we spent the morning packing, walking around and then lunch. In the afternoon we checked our bags into the express airport check in and then bag free! Took the cable car to Lantau Island. Although I have been to Lautau before, it was the first time by cable car and the views are spectacular. Although the downside its a lot more commercial now! With even a Starbucks! But the Typhoon had passed the skies were clear! And we had a great view of the big Buddha. A lot of the time its too cloudy to see it properly

i
We then returned to Hong Kong and for a family reunion. It was a memorial celebration dinner in honour of hubby's grandfather. As our flight was at 11.00 pm, we didn't stay for dinner just to say hello to everyone. Here is a picture of 4 generations of Wongs. Hubbys grandmother, mother and Ms Wong!plus an uncle and aunt His grandmother got very emotional to see Hubby and to meet her great grandchild. Isabella also got given some red envelopes to welcome her into the family.

Isabella managed to stay awake until we took off. The cot was too small for her! And every time she fell asleep and we put her in she woke up and screamed! But they changed it for a seat. And she fell asleep straight away and slept for 5 hours, then woke up had a bottle and fell asleep on my lap for another 6 hours! And only cried during the landing. What a star! Asleep for 11 out of the 12 hours! We arrived at 05.00 hrs and managed ( apart from two small naps) to keep Isabella awake until 17.00 hrs where she slept for 12 hours solid. So there were no jet lag problems for any of us, we kept awake all day and slept all night!

She is settling so well into our home. She reverted to being very clingy at first, but each day is more confident and loves to roam around the house and play in the garden. She is such an incredible, brave little girl who has adapted so well.

Hi Suzanne, Terry and Isabella
We are all so happy you're home and have been following your journey avidly.
We cannot WAIT to hear what the Gremlins make of the new arrival. If they are like their sister Amy they will be very happy with her to play with. Amy adores our friends little girl coming to see us and is very keen on lots of strokes and endless games of chase! Love to you all
Debbie, Ben and the eight other 'Gremlins'.
