Today we had no outings with our guide and were free to just wander as we pleased. We took Isabella to Renmin park. She loved it. Toddling around by the lake, and most of all watching the people singing and dancing, she was mesmerised.
Isabella has a love/hate relationship with the stroller. One minute she's fine and and later she screams to come out and to be held. We have noticed when she cries in public you always get a lot of attention. Chinese people never let their babies cry! So Terry had to tell them in Cantonese that she didn't like the pram and they were quite happy with the explanation! I will pursue it more when we are home and she is more settled.
Each day she grows more confident and talks more and more, and does more and more! She is incredible. She is trying to feed herself and loves to be independent.
Our guide gave us an up to date report on Isabella which was similar to the June's report. But this one said she wore nappies. However, when Terry's spoke to the orphanage director he told us that the babies used a potty! And it was obvious that she wasn't used to nappies. So we use a combination of both, just to keep her a little potty trained, and not to totally regress. Isabella is a true mimic! Poor Eeyore also was made to use the potty. She carried the potty from the bathroom, into the lounge and sat Eeyore in it! Luckily it was clean!
Tomorrow we fly to Guangzhou and Isabella has her first flight! But its only for an hour so we probably wont post again until after we are settled. Our consulate appointment is for Monday AM to get her visa,, and we will get the traing to Hong Kong either Tuesday or Wednesday.
My thought are with BB and her new twin daughters. I read on RQ that the girls are both unwell and have been hospitalised with chest infections. Hope E and M get better soon, big hugs to you all.

The park looked lovely and potty training...been there!!!
Potty training is hard. We're going through that right now with Jensen. Hope the teething pain subsides.
It sounds like you are having fun :-) Have a safe trip to Guangdong :-)
