Our female cat 'Daisy' was out when I left for work, this is unusual as the other two cats were home and I hadn't seen her since 05.00 AM when they woke us up. I went to work and got home at 2pm to mark exam scripts in the garden and sunshine ( work it so hard at times!). There still was no sign of Daisy so by 4pm I was so concerned I went out looking for her. Our house is a terrace house and our garden backs onto the gardens of a row of semi detached houses. These have small alleyways and our cats have worked out that the can get through the alleyways and walk into our road and to the front of our house!. As I called our missing kitty a very sweet French woman came out and called me, she then asked to come into her house and beckoned me upstairs. Yes under her bed was one missing cat! She had gone into her house and couldn't get out ( no cat flap!) and had run and hidden under the bed where she had been for hours! She came out as soon as I called her and so I thanked the woman profusely and then carried our 'found' kitty home. She is so naughty she is always going into cupboards, sheds etc! Hopefully she had learnt her lesson about going into other peoples houses! I need to buy a big bunch of flowers tomorrow as a thank you to a very kind and worried lady who was concerned about a strange cat rooted under her bed!
Scary enough how did we manage to convince our social worker and the adoption panel that we could look after a child!
