Back from the USA

We had a fantastic time in Boston, two days of shopping and driving around the North of Boston to Salem and to Rockport, before returning for the conference. The leaves in fall are so vibrant and beautiful, the beaches were empty and it was warm in comparison to my last two trips. As usual the portions were huge and we both over indulged, but did manage a 7.5 Km run around Boston and the Charles river which was beautiful and just what we needed.

We actually bought baby Wong its first outfit from baby gap. So providing we get refered a girl aged between 12-18 months we will be fine! I will take a picture and some of the lovely swaps that I have recieved as well.

Well the CCAA matched to December 8th in our absence and did another month of expedited referals so they have now allocated to the end of September 2006. So if we do get expedited on Chinese Heritage grounds we are getting very close, and that is quite a scary thought! If we dont get expedited then we are now have under a year of LID dates to get through.

We have a busy weekend of trying to shake off our jet lag, and sorting out all the fittings to enable our loft coversion to be started at the end of November. I am not looking foward to the mess, but having a second bathroom will be bliss!

Its hard being being a career woman?! All work and no play! My friends with children laugh when I say I am looking forward to my adoption leave for a rest! I will be running to you for advise!

lol - shall we swap?? I'll go swanning off shopping in the States (while telling everyone I was working?!?! Yeah right lol). You are going to love being a mummy - I wouldn't swap it for the world (not even for shopping trips, I mean conferences in the States) even the snotty noses and constant tiredness, and intimate knowledge of those intellectual greats - Dora the Explorer and Roary the Racing Car :-)

PS don't ask me for advice I'm still learning!!!

Thanks Ling and Rosie

I thought if we do get our referal next year then our friends and family can follow our journey with us ( providing I get time being a mummy!).

I am new to this blogging so just finding my way around it. Ling if you send me your blog address then I will add it to mine
