Quilt front is finished!

After two evenings of sewing and trying to remember how to use my sewing machine (not kiddding!). I finally pieced together the front part of the nursery quilt (don't look to closely!). This is made up of 28 donated fabric squares and some cream cotton fabric that I bought. I have the wadding for the middle, which came yesterday and will use a cream cotton back. I did buy some fabrics with cute cats and mice, but a plain cream quilt back looks better. Also J be warned you need to do lots of ironing whilst doing this!

So the next stage is trying to quilt it together! Ha Ha, that's when the fun starts, as I am a complete novice. I have bought a special quilting foot for my sewing machine, as this is suppose to make it easier! And am waiting for some stick on border stencils to arrive, that you sew over ( a little cheating!). So I will try to sew it together when they arrive in the next week or so! (There is a delay!) So hopefully baby Wong will have a completed cot quilt in a couple of weeks. Gosh if we get twins I will have to do this all over again:)

Yesterday I got turned down for the London marathon again, that's the 5th time of being rejected in the public ballot ( I got a charity place last year). Terry got a ballot place again for the second year running! But as I will get a guaranteed place next year after being rejected so many times! Terry will defer his ballot place so we can run it together again! Its hard dragging yourselves out in the cold wet winter Sunday mornings for a 2-4 hour run without something to aim for and someone to run with and talk to!
