Today my rotary board cutter arrived. I have had a rotary blade for some time but not the proper board. It makes cutting the fabric so much easier! Whilst waiting for our new boiler to be delivered ( long story and arrived just before 3pm - so much for the morning delivery!). I cut the squares and fabrics for my nursery quilt, which has been collected through various one hundred good wishes swaps. This is provisionally what the cot quilt look like, with a two inch cream border around the squares. I am still waiting for some nursery squares from a recent swap so may change a couple of these around slightly before I start machining this all together. This will be a real test of my novice quilting skills! And good practice before I start of the full size quilt next year.

Thanks honey. It may change a little but I just laid it out to make sure that I was happy with it! Not looking forward to the sewing partm as only one of the fabrics shown is marked and pinned to be tacked!
Do get a rotary cutter and board. So much quicker and not a drop of blood in sight!
