Quick update

We had the usual busy weekend. Saturday the attic bedroom furniture was delivered. I bought it as self assembly but when it arrived they actually assembled it for us. (Thanks M & S!). I didn't protest! We also needed to get some shelves and bits from Ikea. Saturday was their 21st anniversary so they had a 21% discount, we knew it would probably be chaotic so didn't go until 7.30 pm. We had dinner there and then shopped, the store wasn't too crowded and we got most things on our list but waiting at the tills was horrendous, a bit like waiting for a referral! You could see people in front of you getting served but the queue didn't move!

Sunday we were meeting hubby's family for dim sum and to take the boys swimming. We decided to run to China town via Greenwich so we could fit a run it. So we ran for 8miles, then had a huge dim sum!! And then took them all to the gym. The boys all went swimming and I took my step MIL into the gym. We went on all the machines and I showed her how to use the hand weights etc! But my legs were aching today a long run plus gym not a good combination, but she really enjoyed it so it was worth it. I am talking at a conference in Brighton on May 2nd so had to also get my talk ready. Its nearly done and will finish this tomorrow night and learn the 30 minute talk in Italy! Its a liver related topic which I know well so I am not too worried! Until the day when I have to stand on the podium!

Dusty is a lot better, still very stiff and sore but is eating well, and is going out again although it takes him ages to get back. At least at the cattery he will have his own pen and can rest his poor bruised pelvis.

Well another busy day at work tomorrow, then home to pack for Italy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will post again after Milan and Lake Como!
