Hubbys Mui Mui (Cantonese for younger sister) well she's 29! Was over for a few days from Hong Kong. She was born in HK, as hubbys family moved back over when he was small, and later moved back again to the UK! She did her later schooling and University in England but but moved back to HK for employment as an accountant. So only see her once or twice per year. We met for a huge family meal in China Town. A good place to eat in the evenings is the New Mayflower, Shafsbury Avenue. Food guides slate it as its cramped, and the waiting staff rude (true)! But they have two menus one English and one Chinese, and the Chinese menu is fantastic. They do the best Chinese crab dish in London, its just yummy. We also had a huge steamed sea bass, Cantonese beef, Pa Po ( my favourite tofu dish), a Choi (vegetable) dish(Chinese mushroom and spinach), Chinese duck and Yam, and of course rice. Needless to say with four adults and 2 children there were no left overs!
She if flying back later tonight with a suitcase loaded down with Kit Kat chunkies, strawberry jam, and Tetley tea! We promised that we would email before we come to Hong Kong when go over to adopt baby Wong, and bring her some of the English foods she misses!
It my MIL birthday next week (She lives in HK), and I nearly forgot! Ooops, so I rushed out after work and bought her some nice Monsoon jewelry ( which they gift wrapped!), and a card at Waterloo station which we gave to Mui Mui to take back to HK! Phew that was close!
