Here it the one hundred good wishes quilt update. I am now about 1/3 of the way through sewing the front. As you can see its growing. I have actually reduced the size to a UK double. Its will be 9 squares along and 10 in length (90 in total), so only another 4 rows to add plus all the borders. I know its not 100 but it would of been huge otherwise. Plus if you click on the OHGW link you can see the baby cot (crib) quilt that I have already made. As you can see one of our cats decided to start grooming herself. This is Daisy ( hence my RQ name!), she is one of the rescue feral kittens we got in June. As you can see she is very domesticated and tame now!, and such a lap cat. We are the only girls in the house! The backing is the pink that you can see in the edge (bottom) and small squares.
Hubby is impressed and says he cant believe how straight it all is. That's down to a rotary cutter. But dont look to closely as its not perfect! And it doesnt quite align in places. But it isnt to bad! And
Sadly I have run out of the white border and ordered some more fabric on Sunday. When I emailed them to see where it was on Thursday they said they were busy and were not going to process it for 7 days unless I wanted to pay for a priority order, GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGrrrrrrrrrrrrr. The last time I ordered from them it came withing 2-3 days. So I guess after this I will take my future custom elsewhere (thats if I ever quilt again!). These are the first quilts that I have made. So baby Wong I hope you appreciate Mummys hard work when you are older, it has been a labour of love. BB and J you should be able to recognise your squares! If you haven't donated a square I had to by some lilac material to co-ordinate the colours ( not sewn as yet), so you can leave a wish in the comments or email me and I will print onto card with a piece of the fabric.
I have found a UK company ( quilting is not very popular here) that does the industrial long arm quilting which this will need. I dont have a good enough machine or skills to do this myself (if you dont believe me look at the cot quilt picture!). I am so glad I am working still and we have two wages coming in! It's cost a fortune in material for swaps, and overseas postage plus the quilter. But I have enjoyed it, and baby Wong can see from the cards which are laminated in a folder how supportive the adoptive community and our friends and family have been.
I am feeling better today, everything happens for a reason. Hopefully next month! At least I will be away in Italy from the 23rd to the 29th so will be far away from the Internet when the rumours start flying around! That is the worst time and up to referral waiting to see what will happen to the expedited referrals for the month. I actually wont be able to get to a computer to the evening of the 30th!

Thanks guys, but I am such a novice. I am still learning and changing it as I go along. Once the fabrics were all cut and the rows were sewn, putting in the borders is quite quick and easy.
Can't wait to see both of yours. At least our children will be snug!, and know how much they were wanted.
J, you are a better sewer than me. Your design if fab. Remeber I failed my O'level needlework! Ha! Ha!
