The Nursey Curtains for Baby Wong

I am still waiting for the stencil to arrive to complete the borders for the nursery quilt ( delay in order). Hopefully they should arrive this week, and I can complete it and make the matching cot pillow case this weekend.

I bought this material originally for the quilt back, but decided that plain cream looked better. As we thought the material was cute I decided to order some more and to make nursery curtains with it. The material has a cream background with lots of different fun cats, birds, mice etc. Sadly, I think I have the sewing bug! But its far more enjoyable than book editing!

We are keeping the themes neutral until we know the gender! And as we hope to sell our house after our referral and move somewhere with a bigger garden! (been wanting to move for 2 years!). We have decided to keep the study/nursery current decor with cream walls and carpet. These curtains will brighten up the room and give it a nursery feel, with offending any future buyers ( we are far to practical and sensible!)

When we eventually move we will go the 'whole hog' and decorate a bedroom room appropriately for baby Wong/s. The curtains wont go up and the room transformed until firstly the loft conversion is finished and secondly we get our referral. I think it would be very hard having a nursery to look at without a known referral date and at least a photograph of your child.

Daisy one of the gremlins decided to get in on the picture! She is very nosey and probably trying to see what Terry was doing holding up the curtain!
