The unusual weather conditions that have recently hit China have caused massive problems which are affecting everyone including the orphanages.
Some orphanages are without electricity and water; some are having trouble getting food. Half the Sky is working to help the orphanages that they are involved with; they’ve got a web page up with the status of the orphanages they’ve been able to contact:

This has put things back into perspective as I was feeling sorry for myself and our expedited LID groups getting missed again for the second month in a row. I hope baby Wong is warm and safe.
The teenies have now gone to the teen gym and swimming. My niece and I had a lovely day yesterday with some retail therapy! We only gave her £20 for her birthday next week, and she managed to buy a pair of boots, shoes, three tops and a necklace ( OK I did give her an extra £4!), but she did help us with the painting the undercoat to the skirting boards and door frames for the new bathroom/bedroom. Which she is now trying to claim as hers!
Terry and I will take the teenies into London and put them in the righ direction for them to get the tube to meet their parents coming of Eurostar and Terry and I will then run home, and come back to tidying up the mess and maybe have time to do a bit more painting and editing! And back to work tomorrow for a rest!
