Happy Valentines day

Wishing everyone a happy valentines day Hubby gave me his card this morning, I bought mine on the way to work! I didn’t forget. I have just been working and unable to get to the shops. I am sure that he bought mine when he did the supermarket shopping on Saturday!

Tonight hubby is spoiling me by cooking me a nice romantic dinner! He is a superb cook, and it is bound to be yummy!

Yesterday the plumbers turned up at 08.00 and worked their little socks off until 3pm when they finally finished! The buildings inspector also came around lunchtime to do the final check. He seemed happy about everything (phew!), and said that things were fine!!! So lets hope we get the certificate through the post soon as we will need this when we sell! The best thing that although the bathroom is not quite finished we have two toilets and showers!!!! Most Americans would be surprised that our house only had one bathroom for its 3 bedrooms! Buts it’s an old house and Victorians were not known for taking baths! So now to have two bathrooms in the house is sheer luxury! No more banging on doors! And it will be great for when we have baby Wong!

We just need to get our builder back to finish tiling the floor (we ran out of tiles) and to grout them and then fit the shower door.

The bathroom is decorated bar the second coat of paint on the door frames and skirting board ( will be done after grouting!), and then we need to start on the bedroom and hallway so we can get the carpets fitted ( have been ordered!). We will soon be back to normality. Both hubby and I are taking an annual leave day next week to decorate so we should get quite a bit done. What takes a long time is the preparation as its all new wood and plaster so needs to be really sanded well before painting.

As soon as the painting is done I will post some pictures, the before the middle and the completed look!
