Last night 1/2 of our street (Yes our half!), lost all power from around 9 pm to the early hours of the morning. I was busy editing at the time and was on a roll! But luckily didnt loose to much of what I had just written.
So I then got out lots of candles, and we spend the rest of the evening by candle light. It was romantic at first but then it started to get cold and the candle wax dripped onto the rug! So we went to be early and then found the two kitties had the same idea that our bed was warmer! Who says romance is dead! But this is what the poor people from China have had to put up with for days on end (without our kitties!)
Our plumbers came this morning to finally finish off by connecting the toilet, sink, radiator and shower! However they did some of it and then phoned hubby to tell him they needed a part and would be back on Wednesday. Fine! But they told us they would finish tomorrow and so I have taken Wednesday off work for the council to gain access to do the final building regulation inspection. He has promised he will finish before they come! Luckily we dont have to pay him until its finished! The its finally over. On Saturday I painted the bathroom ( very tiny space), so when the floor tiles are finished and grouted ( we ran out!) then I will do the final coat of paint on the door frames and skirting board! GGGrrr I just want my house back to normality, this 6 week loft conversion has been going since the beginning of December!
J a neighbour has just dropped your present off. The postman left it ouside on Saturday and she took it in for safe keeping. Its adorable and will email you later and post a picture tomorrow:)
