Today is more washing, ironing and packing day! Isabella's things are packed and there is a little room in the suitcase for Mummy's clothes! Its the presents that also take up a lot of space, we have body shop gift sets for the nannies, and also a box of body shop goodies wrapped up for the BLAS consultation staff as a thank you. So there will be that space for shopping! I still have 3 work projects to finish up! I did get two done yesterday and did go into work for about an hour!
My MIL is over from Hong Kong so we took her to dinner and to the old Vic theatre last night to see Pygmalion. It was a good play, but we got reduced price ( or hubby did) tickets which meant we were at the top of the theater ( very good view) but it was so, so hot inside, it was unbearable. Yesterday was 26 degrees in the UK!
Its strange, everyone keeps telling me how calm I am. And yes I am quite calm and relaxed about it all. I am so looking forward to meeting Isabella. And the transition is either going to be easy or absolute hell , poor thing we are coming to turn her little world upside down!! But I worked with children with behavioural problems for nearly 2 yrs, so have seen and had to deal with some very challenging behaviour in the past, so feel confident that I can deal with most things and know it will take time for Isabella to trust us and to attach properly. We just need to stay relaxed as if we are anxious she will pick up on this, and have lots and lots of patience!
We also realise that as we do things it is the last time we will have the opportunity to do these without a child. Sunday we went for a 10 mile run, and thats the last time we can get up and just spontaneously go for a run! But she will be so worth it! This is hubbys solution to taking Isabella running with us! We havent bought it yet! See the wheel size, I think it would need its own garage and parking permit!

Its so difficut to know how we'll feel when it eventually happens for our family. We are probably going to take the boys with us now as they will be alot older.
I really don't know how I'll feel about it all in two years time.It seems so distant, yet its so wonderfully close for you.
I will be asking you advice on everythingin the future!!
I'm so elated for you.Parenting can be hard work butthe rewards are endless.I love my kids beyond anything.
Good luck and will be with you and thank you for being such a great member of Firecrackers.
Hi Suzanne
So lovely to read your Blog to find out how all your preparation is going in order to welcome Miss Isabella into your family. I smiled when I read about you doing certain things together for the last time - although you are doing these for the last time, there will be many more new things that you will do as a family now - how exciting! I am really looking forward to reading your Blog while you are in China. Wishing you many, many best wishes for a safe journey and as smooth a transition as possible. Love Claire x
P.S The running push chair looks great but storage may be a problem!
I was a lot calmer at this point than what I thought I would be, too. I wish you all the best. I can't wait to follow your journey to your beautiful daughter.
Just dropped by to wish you the best for tomorrow!
