A walk in the park!

Yesterday we took Isabella out in the stroller. She hated it a first and then would only stay in it if I held her hand!

Here is a picture of Daddy and Isabella. Later two little boys came rushing over and started pushing the pram! You can only see one of them the other is to small and is hidden behind it! You can see their dad laughing in the background. Isabella is looking a bit confused! But it was very funny to watch.

Isabella is still attached to me at all time! She only took an afternoon nap yesterday by falling asleep wrapped around me. I will be so glad when she is confident enough to spend time alone with Daddy! But we know that will come in time, and glad that she is secure with at least one of us. She is getting closer to him every day. And to help we are getting Daddy to feed her, albeit still from my lap! and to play with her a lot.

After dinner I gave her her first bath, she loved it! And after her nigh time bottle she slept from 8.30 until 5.00 am this morning. She had a bottle and then fell asleep between us until 08.30! We also had a fantastic nights sleep! I hope this will be the trend!

She is growing with confidence every day, and is such a happy, giggly child who loves cuddles! Our guide is amazed at how well she is doing, and how attached she is to me! But then she is an amazing special little girl!

Congratulations to you both on becoming parents! I have been reading your blog every day and it is so lovely to hear (and see) how Isabella is settling in with her Mama and Baba. Isabella is a beautiful little girl and you can literally see her blossoming in every set of pictures you put up. Wishing you many wonderful moments together in China.

Hi Suzanne,
You are determined to make me cry every morning aren't you!?! The photo of the proud daddy and his daughter is precious :-)
Little Prince was very similar when he first joined our family (except it was Daddy he wanted not me) we just treated him like a much younger baby (ie responding instantly to his needs etc) and eventually his confidence grew, as I'm sure Isabella's will too.
Glad to hear you are getting lots of sleep, as Isabella looks like she will be running you ragged very soon lol.
Love
Janet

Fantastic to catch up with your journey - sounds as if things are really going well. It took L six weeks really to have anything at all to do with Daddy - great for your arm muscles - they eventually bonded over a packet of chocolate digestive biscuits
Vicky - great photos
