I think I am ready ish! The house is as baby Wong proof as we can make it. We have the 4 child gates in place ( 2 flights of stairs!), the car seat is fitted, we have a booster seat that attaches to a chair plus a high chair, and pram. We will buy a stroller in China and have the sling as well. All the visible plug sockets have covers! The cleaning and bathroom cupboards have locks on! And the sharp edges of the coffee table are covered.
I am sure that we will find more things to do when she is home and toddling around the house!
I am all packed for both me and Isabella, and have checked in online. Hubby hasn't even started packing yet. But being the good wife I got his case down from the loft and started to put things in it for him! But he can finish that in the morning. It wont take him long, he always travels light ( more suitcase space for the girls!).
After being home for just 4 days I have decided that I need to return to work! Or I really would be a desperate housewife. I am sure I will feel differently when Isabella is home, but this week has just been a constant round of washing, ironing, cleaning, sorting out! I would go nuts if I had to do that every day! But I needed to do a big spring clean as a) it needed it! and b) we have guests arriving 5 days after we get home! C) my generous friend is staying here to cat sit for a week!
We are not flying until late afternoon so I have booked a hair cut for 09.00am! I haven't had time before! I also had my eyes tested today as I hadn't had them done for 3 yrs and my glasses are falling apart! Its a lot cheaper to buy glasses in Hong Kong or China so I now have an up to date prescription to take with me.
Congratulations to my fellow CERG November LID buddies who are now united with their children, most of the US members travelled on the 17th so we will just miss each other!. Check out Beths blog to see her beautiful twins, CJ has also adopted but hasn't posted pictures yet! And congratulations to jellyoink who finally has her travel date. I am so happy for her.
Also check out Gails blog to see her lovely son William. These people and my UK cyber buddies have kept me sane over the last 18 months and I cant thank you enough for supporting me, especially during those five months of being skipped, it was very difficult at times. I cant wait to introduce you all to baby Wong. And although it feels like sometimes it is never going to happen. It does!
I am taking my laptop and of course camera and video. So will try to post from China and let you all know how things are going. Enjoy the beautiful weather now its finally here!
Isabella, Mummy and Daddy are nearly on their way! I can wait to meet that lovely smiley face in person and to finally hold you in my arms and safely bring you home and to be a forever family.
