Journey from London to Hong Kong

Our flight from London to Hong Kong was at 16.25 so we had a lot of time in the morning pottering around ( or in Hubby’s case packing!!). Here we are on the start of the journey on the train into central London to catch the underground to the airport! Packed lightly? No!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mine is the red case which weighted in at 18 kg which contains all of mine and Isabella things! Terry’s weighted in a whopping 26kgs. OK so I did pack the wash bag and baby medicines/lotions and potions! Into his case and a couple of books! We need to repack some of this into the hand luggage tomorrow as China are very strict with their 20kg weight restriction.

We had a smooth journey into Hong Kong and arrived at just after 13.00 hrs local time. Hubby slept for most of the journey, I napped for about 2-3 hours, but although tired we are going to keep going until we drop at bedtime tonight! I love Hong Kong, its so nice to be back. In fact I love all of SE Asia and have travelled it quite extensively. Its hot, humid and beautiful! And the food is amazing!

Our hotel the Langham is beautiful. We dumped our cases, showered and then went straight out. We are close to the star ferry so of course had to do the trip. Even though hubby has live in Hong Kong and I have been here before.

We then went to the Peak. It was a beautiful sunny day with such a clear view.
It brings a lot of memories for hubby as his family lived on the peak for a while! ( But its a long story!)

We have another early start tomorrow as we leave for Nanning. The next time we are back in Hong Kong ( 6th August) we will have Isabella with us and introducing her to her Hong Kong relatives.

You are very present in our thoughts and prayers.
